MOXY is an online social ecosystem that connects voters, thought leaders, elected representatives, and authorized organizations on a single platform.
Designed to empower US citizens in a non-partisan way and enable true democracy to thrive in the 21st century, MOXY uses advanced functionalities such as open audio chats, podcasts, and live streaming to make people of all age groups better informed participants and stewards of the representative government.
Ideation, Design, Development, and Deployment
Our client, César M Melgoza, Founder & CEO, Epluribus LLC, created the MOXY platform with a vision to revolutionize the political process through mainstream civic engagement. As MOXY contains the National, State, and Local representatives’ data provided by third party data providers, what the platform needed was a centralized system to manage and use that data according to the different stakeholders’ needs.
That’s when Appinventiv was onboarded to design and develop a system that could collect the data from all third-party data providers and manage that data according to the needs of stakeholders.
We selected Appinventiv to embark on this project journey with us in 2019. Since then, it has been a pleasure working with the company. The Appinventiv team is not only extremely versatile and competent but also very professional, courteous, and responsive. We certainly plan to continue working with Appinventiv for an indefinite period.
To develop a platform like Moxy, the team faced challenges in accessing data from the application server as per the platform requirements. To present the data to users in an efficient way, reduce the response time of the screen content, and eliminate the need to handle all the data coming from different sources, we resolved the problem to efficiently manage all the data on our application server.
As the product mostly relied on third-party data providers, the team had to adapt with any changes they made in the data definitions. Any new addition of the data could lead to updating the logic of data handling on the syncing server. Our team thrived with constant modification and verification of the data in the development environment.
Appinventiv set off the project by first gaining complete understanding of the client’s vision for
the business and expectations from
the product. After a thorough analysis of the prevailing
challenges and future roadmap, we deployed a highly skilled team of software
professionals that
worked dedicatedly towards serving the purpose that MOXY defines while maintaining the product
uniformity for
web, Android, and iOS platforms at both user and server end.
