Founded over 15 years ago, Unitel is one of the largest Mongolia-based ICT service provider group companies, which is a leader in the field of mobile communications. With such a deep, enriched, and successful history in the telecommunications industry, Unitel now wanted to establish itself in the mobile app market.

While it launched a daily service mobile app, Toki, it still needed expert guidance on maintaining, updating, and upgrading the platform with innovative features that could help generate new revenue sources. That’s when Unitel partnered with Appinventiv to manage Toki app’s SDLC process end-to-end.

Development and Maintenance Process

The Appinventiv team kicked off the project by first understanding the client's complete vision for the project. Thereafter, highly skilled and efficient resources were allocated as per the client’s requirements for the project. All the resources were selected after a brief interview to ensure they are a right fit to fulfill all client requirements.

For developing a lifestyle app like Toki, the number of resources were also increased and decreased during the development and maintenance cycle as per the changing requirements of the project.

The allocated team was always motivated to meet all delivery deadlines in time while accommodating any last minute changes and simultaneously also ensuring glitch-free and high quality feature development. Many new features and functionalities were developed during the cycle such as, calling and texting of international users via a virtual number into a message box, calling taxis, and checking balance and topping-up of the metro/bus cards.

To achieve the best possible results for the Toki app, the team also provided night support during deployment and assisted the client with various technological updates for the application.
