Our client, Innovative Eyewear has launched a social media application, Vyrb, which enables users to send and receive audio messages optimized for Bluetooth wearables. It also allows voice posting to social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook using Bluetooth glasses.
The project required us to build an audio-commanded social media application that allows users to create, listen, and respond to social media posts with their voice, without even glancing at their smartphones.
Keeping this in mind, our team integrated audio command features along with default voice assistants like Siri and Google Assistant. Users can now share audio messages and create posts for social media on the go.
To make this platform more engaging, we incorporated a unique autoplay functionality. This feature compiles all your feeds and makes them audible in one easy stream. We also integrated a feature that enables expanded voice messaging and speech-to-text messaging with a voice-focused inbox.
Adding audio manipulation features is a complex process, and it has to be done precisely in order to avoid any error. Our team successfully incorporated the features into the app, which allow users to add sound effects (similar to voice-overs) on a recorded file and then process that audio file.
Integrating the autoplay function was a key part of the project, which was implemented successfully after the initial challenges of synchronizing all the actions in order. For instance, identifying the user profile greetings and captions along with the added comments to be read out aloud. The autoplay functionality, currently, allows users to automatically perform certain functions using voice commands like reading out the recent posts.
Social media is one industry that keeps experiencing rapid changes. So, it’s important to stay updated with the latest trends. Our team made sure to keep up with the social media trends so that we don’t miss out on any new opportunities.
We kicked off the project by gathering an understanding of the client’s vision of the product. We held meetings with the Innovative Eyecare team on a regular basis to understand their needs better.
We also helped the client in planning the features and prioritizing them for the MVP version. We had time-to-time discussions with the client to improve the UX of the current app along with exciting features for future releases. Our team also did a lot of research and development in order to implement the autoplay, transcribe, and audio-command features.
In addition, we provided continuous testing and support to improve the app’s quality and performance.
