What is Gurushala?

Gurushala is a social initiative of Vodafone India Foundation. It is an online learning platform that is educating millions of students by offering them free study material, self-paced courses and other interactive forms of learning. It is also helping teachers to work more closely with students and engage more interactive ways of teaching.

How Appinventiv helped Gurushala in its mission?

Our collaboration with Vodafone in their initiative Gurushala is a step that we have taken to bring a positive change in the education sector. With the help of innovative technologies, we were able to create smarter digital tools for teachers in Gurushala, helping them save time and present exciting and engaging lesson formats.

We ensured that the website is user-friendly and easy to navigate for both teachers and students. Our efforts helped Gurushala build a better community of teachers and students. We developed a platform where teachers and students can make use of free resources and learn new skills. Other than this, we also came up with the idea of a reward system to acknowledge teachers for their exemplary efforts in classrooms. Teachers earn points for certain activities, and they can redeem those points for products with the Gurushala Rewards Programme.

We also included a section called ‘Competitions’. Using this feature, students as well as teachers can participate in active competitions and even share on social media platforms. We made sure to include topics from all the genres, including sports, literature, history and more to gather teachers and students of all interest. Our main motive was to open new ways of engaging students, making classes more intuitive, interactive and productive.

Additionally, our team also came up with an interesting feature called Gurushala staffroom. It allows teachers from all over to connect and interact with each other. We thought that this feature would help teachers to discuss topics that matter and help each other grow, essentially building a strong online community of teachers and students.

Using innovative digital solutions, we have built a community where students and teachers can interact from anywhere, anytime. They can also enroll in self-paced and interactive courses. We have tried to include every feature that would make the learning process easy.

Make a website keeping in mind the non-tech savvy audience

We built this online platform keeping in mind the non-tech savvy people. We ensured that the website is user friendly and easy to use. Users can easily navigate and participate in various activities. We have also included FAQs section to help those in need.
